There aren’t many things that are more fun than getting up on a crisp spring day and heading out to the hills to take your road bike for a spin. Although, I have discovered that there are a lot of things that are more fun than using a cheap bike rack or rack mount and leaving the bike behind me – in several pieces – on the road there. This is especially bad if there’s a large truck coming up behind me when it happens.
The point is, having the best bike in the world doesn’t help if it’s improperly attached to the car. In fact, the better the bicycle, the worse it is when the upright bike rack stops working. Buying a rack mount used off the Internet may wind up costing far more than it saves.
Biking is a great sport, whether you’re like me and just do it for fun, or one of those mad serious cyclists who put down hundreds of miles a week. And while thinking about accessories isn’t always something we want to do, it’s good to have the right ones from the start.
Part of getting the right equipment to carry the bicycle was to determine what I needed. Was a bike rack, a bicycle hitch rack, or upright bike rack right for my vehicle? Did I need a rack mount? A bumper adapter? And how could I get what I needed without driving all over town trying to find a place that carried everything once I figured out what it was?
What’s great about a website with free ground shipping and every type of bike rack and rack accessory that I could ever need is that, well it has everything I need plus helpful information and it’s open when I have time to shop.
